Process to search for a new Dean underway

As previously reported RWC Dean Dolores Straker, for personal reasons, has decided not to seek another five-year term as Dean of RWC. This may leave many of you wondering, "Who will replace her as Dean?" The process of the search has already begun.
A decanal search committee is being formed for the purpose of nominating three faculty members to help aid in the process of finding potential replacements.
The RWC Faculty Executive Committee will choose the three faculty members who will serve on the committee. The selection should be complete by the end of spring quarter, and the formal search should begin soon thereafter.
If all goes according to plan, a new Dean will be selected and will assume duties in time for the beginning of Fall Quarter 2008.
