Study Skills offering array of workshops and classes

If you are interested in improving your grades, learning time management, and becoming a better student, you should look into some of the Study Skills classes.
For Spring Quarter Study Skills will be offering Study Skills I, II, and III, all worth three credit-hours. As a new bonus, College Study Skills II and III will now be hybrid classes.
The Study Skills Lab is also offering Topics in Study Skills III, which is worth one credit-hour and is a 100 percent online class. There is also a College Reading class worth three credit hours. This course is designed to strengthen students' reading skills, enhance students' vocabulary development, and increase students' enjoyment of reading.
The Study Skills lab also has a few workshops coming up to wind down the month of February. The following workshops are for the week of February 23-26. On Monday at 9 a.m., there will be a workshop focusing on concentration. Tuesday at 11 a.m., there will be a workshop called Brain Waves, teaching students how to boast brain power. There will be two workshops on Wednesday, the first at 8 a.m called What Makes You Tick, and the second at 2 p.m., called Time File, helping students to learn time management.
There are also two on Thursday, the first at 11 a.m called Don't Sweat the Test. This workshop will teach students how to prepare for a test. The second workshop is at 1:00 p.m. called breaking the code. This workshop will allow students to learn how to solve textbook strategies.
If you are interested in any of these workshops and can't make the given times, the Study Skills lab is willing to do workshops individually at a time that is convenient for you. If you have any questions, stop by the Computer Concourse, Room 112K Muntz Hall, or call 745-5730.
