Those students who have an interest in politics or a desire to learn may want to consider getting involved with the new RWC Political Science Club next year. The club actually began this year as an informal association organized by Political Science Professor Ionas Rus, who designed it to facilitate events related to political science that are both fun and informative.

This year three movies were shown, including "The Atomic Cafe," "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington," and "Charlie Wilson's War." After each screening, a free-form discussion takes place about the movie or any other relevant political topic.

The club is looking for more members. You do not need any experience or background in politics to join. The club is also looking for people to take on leadership roles. New initiatives and ideas are always welcome, Professor Rus said. One idea he hopes to implement is the creation of Democrat and Republican clubs, if enough people become interested.

To receive updates and get additional information about 2009-2010 events, you can be added to the mailing list by contacting Professor Rus at rusis@ucrwcu.rwc.uc.edu.
